Grade School Library Opens on July 30, 2014
Newly Renovated Grade School Library opens on July 30, 2014.The Grade School Library is located at the 2ndfloor of St.Brother Miguel Hall caters to Grade 1 to Grade 6 students.It offers a wide variety of Educational Books as well as leisure reading materials.The library open from Monday to Friday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM.

The Learning Resource Center invites everyone as we celebrate the National Children’s Book Week on July 22-25,2014 with Theme: “Pumitas ng Aklat: Buklatin.Basahin. ”
The National Children’s Book Week is an annual event of the Philippine Board on Books for the Young people( PBBY) celebrating the exquisite world of Children’s literature. It has been dedicated to encourage young readers to enjoy books. During this year with the theme “Pumitas ng Aklat: Buklatin.Basahin.”The LRC has come -up with activities that will instill a lifelong love for reading.
Program and Activities
1. Book fairs
Books, books and a lot of children’s books,National Book Store,Scholastic Lampara and The Learning Library
will set-up a four day Book fairs at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Lower Grades.Proceeds of this activity will go to the Bookmobile Project of the LRC.
2.Book Character Parade
Book character comes alive ! one of the highlights of this celebration is the annual parade of the pupils in their favorite character costume. This year’s parade will be participated in by the Pre-kinder and Kinder pupils.
3. T-shirt Design Challenge Making
In coordination with the Art Department, a T-shirt design making contest will be participated in by selected Grade 6 students.Mechanics of the contest will posted and be distributed to all teachers in the level.
4. Photo Contest “Shelfie While Reading
Students will take picture while reading a book in an unusual place or in a creative way. All Photo entries will be posted in the LRC Electronic Bulletin Board and DLSZ Facebook Page.Mechanics of the contest will be posted and be distributed to all teachers in the level.

DLSZ Cultural Affairs Office and The Learning Resource Center conducts a 2nd Technical Stage Lights and Sound Workshop for the School’s Technician (AV Technician/SPLT Technician)
The Workshop was held last May 19-23, 2014 at Sylvia P. Lina Theater ,Center for Performing Arts Building.The 5-day workshop ,which aim to achieve excellence in staging performances in arts and music.Our guest speakers are Mr. Roman Cruz,DLSU Theater Operation Coordinator and Mr. Erwin Balangue,Sound Engineer.
