Information Literacy Program
As part of its goal and objectives to inculcate the love for reading and to develop one’s competencies in utilizing different library and multi-media resources and services, the Learning Resource Center practices monthly LRC periods for students from Junior Prep to High School Level.
What was formally known as Library Instruction Program (LIP) is now called Information Literacy Program (ILP). The latter is preferred to be used as it encompasses newer technologies and innovations applied and used by the library such as Library 2.0 and multi-media technologies, Web-based tools, Podcasting, etc. as compared to the former that only focuses on “library” i.e. book-based activities and skills development.
The Learning Resource Center henceforth realizes its goal of having a library without borders.
