The LRC offers the following services with the help of its qualified librarians, experienced technicians and staff:

Readers’ Services

Users receive assistance in the selection of books/AV materials and other information sources on a given topic.  Librarians conduct literature searches on the subject of inquiry to provide answers to simple and complex questions.

The Circulation Section

1.      Check-in and check-out items
2.      Loan period
3.      Renewal, recall and holds
4.      Fines, overdue notices and sort items
5.      Searching for book not found in the stocks
6.      Reference desk for general question about the library.

Online public Access Catalog (OPAC)

Students are encouraged to search for available materials in the library through the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog).  They may browse the library’s collection at home by accessing the DLSZ website ( and clicking on the WebOPAC Button.

Library orientation

The Library orientation is conducted every 1st term of the school year to ensure proper use of the LRC. The orientation includes, among others, organization of the library and the relationship of the unit to the organization,  library tour ,integration research, online system and other library services. Library orientation is also conducted with the new faculty members during in-service training.

Class-supervised research
The librarian assists students and faculty in their research work.

Electronic Resource (e-Resource) Services
The library provides orientation, training and services to students, faculty and other library clientele on the use of online resources (please see right pane) CD-ROM, Internet and other electronic resources.

Audio Visual Services

1.Mulltimedia assistance for the use of multimedia projectors, document camera, and other AV equipment.
2.Photo coverage (Still and digital)
3.Video coverage, editing, recopying, audio recording and scanning are exclusively for school related activities only.
4.Sound System operation
5.Maintenance of AV equipment in all classroom.
6.Backdrop preparation for school wide activities only subject to the approval of the AV Librarian.
7.Use of Audio Visual Rooms and provide equipment for Debbie Decena Auditorium, SPLT , CPA Lobby, Gym, Board / Conference rooms, CLF and Sports Pavilion.
8.Analogue to Digital reproduction
9.Online Reservation of Room and Equipment
10.Notebook Computer Loan services
11.Hands on training on the use of AV equipment

AV Assistance
AV technicians are available anytime to assist all faculty members in this area.  They help facilitate in the teaching and learning through the use of modern technology.
